Loan Officer Specialty Bank Products

The Loan Officer must develop and execute a marketing plan that will build and maintain relationships with outside referral sources (Realtors, builders, etc.) and lead to mortgage loan referrals. This position will be responsible for managing the progression of those loans through the loan process. This position will have overall accountability for ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate guidelines. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring customer service standards are met.

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. Represents the bank in local community through active participation in community affairs and participates in marketing all of the bank’s products and services.

Primary Responsibilities

Reviews, processes, closes and administers loan proposals.
Interviews applicants and request specified information for loan applications.
Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.
Corresponds with or interviews applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee for approval.
Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
Maintains database and monitors performance of loans.
Confers with underwriter to aid in resolving mortgage application problems.
Analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for loans.

Skill Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience; Lending experience and/or 2-3 years direct sales experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
