RI banks working together for Food Bank

R.I. BANKS WORKING TOGETHER FOR FOOD BANK

Members of the Rhode Island banking community have joined forces for the 2nd Annual "Battle of the Banks: Pitching In to Strikeout Hunger" initiative to collect food for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

On Friday, Aug. 4, banks throughout the state -- Bank of America, Citizens, Sovereign, BankRI, Domestic Bank and Webster Bank -- will collect food from the public and its employees in many of its branches in a friendly competition to help the food bank.

After the food drive, there will be the "Battle of the Banks" softball tournament, open to the public, at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, at River Point Park, West Warwick.
